Company Policies
CODE OF CONDUCT
  • Properly represent the company at all times.  Remember that while you are a member, others will perceive your behavior as the behavior of the company.
  • Be polite and respectful to others.  Treat them like you would wish to be treated.
  • Mature language is fine from mature players, but offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
  • Any and all forms of douchebaggery such as MPKing, griefing, ninja looting, and thievery are not acceptable.
  • Real Money Trading (RMT), either in the form of buying or selling gil for real money, is against the game's terms of service.  Any member suspected of this activity will be removed from the company without hesitation.
COMPANY MEETINGS

Company meetings are conducted as needed, and are announced on the website.  Until FFXIV goes live, meetings are conducted via Ventrilo, a VoIP group chat program.

LOOT DISTRIBUTION

Loot will be decided via Loot Council.  The council will be comprised of three officers (one healer, one tank and one damage dealer).  They will attempt to place the loot where it will best serve the company as a whole.  Attendance, skill level, set completion, previous loot earned and what piece is being replaced will all be taken into account.

COMMUNICATION

For company runs there are two types of Ventilo chat, silly time and serious time.

Silly Time
Pretty much anything goes.  Feel free to share off topic info, how your day was, how awesome your new weapon looks, or the new PS3 game you're looking forward to playing.

Serious Time
If there is someone who is giving out instructions, Vent needs to be quiet.  Any questions or concerns need to be addressed by in-game chat or whispers.  During a fight, priority goes to any run-members calling out fight specific changes.  Boss-time Vent is for fight business, battle rezzes, taunting, or target switching, not for comparing gear or your theory about how Lost really ended.  This extends to the loot distribution phase of a fight.  The raid leader will be responsible for the enforcement of these rules.
